What you need to file
Ginbing accepts applications in the name of a company or organization, or in the name of an individual. Companies provide an official registration document. Individuals provide the passport information page.

Company or individual?
The applicant is the legal owner that will appear on the CNIPA record. Use the company, organization, or individual that should own the trademark.
- Company or organization
- Use the exact registered legal name. Provide the registered address, country or region, postal code, and a contact name and phone. Upload a Certificate of Incorporation, business license, or equivalent official company registration document as a PDF.
- Individual
- Use the full legal name shown on the passport. Provide the current residential address, country or region, postal code, and a contact name and phone. Upload the passport information page as a PDF.
Document quality
Upload the original digital document or a clear, complete, unaltered color scan as a PDF no larger than 10 MB. Every page edge and all document details must remain visible. Do not redact, retouch, cover, remove, crop out, or change any text, photograph, seal, number, or other document information.
The applicant name must match the identity document exactly. A company’s registered address should match the official registration record. Passports usually do not show an address, so an individual should enter their current full residential address.
What everyone also provides
- Your mark
- Wordmark text, or a JPG image for a figurative mark.
- Classes and items
- The classes you want and the goods or services in each. See classes and items.
- Filing authorization
- Completed during final review before payment so Ginbing can file on your behalf.
- Priority claim
- If applicable, the earlier filing or exhibition country or region and filing date, plus the application number for an earlier filing.
