Refund policy

Last updated:

Before filing

Because we begin preparing your filing as soon as you order, the $150 per class filing price and any extra-item fees are non-refundable once your order is placed, except as set out below for consumers in the EU or UK, or where mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise. Duplicate or mistaken charges are always reconciled (see below). For a question about a specific order, email [email protected] with your order number.

EU and UK customers

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because filing work begins quickly, by asking us to start you expressly request that performance begin within that period and acknowledge that once a class is submitted to CNIPA you lose the right to withdraw for that filing. Until then, and unlike the standard policy above, anything not yet submitted to CNIPA remains refundable to you.

Business and agent orders

If you place an order in the course of a business, or as an agent or representative for someone else, you are not a consumer for this purpose: the standard policy above applies and the EU and UK withdrawal right does not. The person who registers the account, accepts the Terms, and pays is our customer for the order, whoever the trademark applicant is.

After CNIPA submission

Once a class is submitted, the CNIPA filing fee is paid to the registry and is not refundable. The remainder covers drafting, filing, tracking, and translation work and is also non-refundable after submission.

CNIPA refusal or opposition

Outcomes from CNIPA examination do not by themselves trigger a refund: the filing work and CNIPA fee were performed.

Duplicate or failed payments

If Stripe duplicates or mischarges, contact us with the order number and we will reconcile. Unsuccessful Checkout attempts that did not capture a payment do not require a refund.
